Continued Road Work
Posted on May 12th, 2022
Hello Neighbors,

Road work continues! In the process of doing road work, additional areas have been identified as needing repair. These repairs will need to be completed before crackseal work can be done.

We knew this would be a long process with potential delays, and we are committed to getting the work completed in a manner that best preserves our roads for the long-term.

The process for the additional repairs will need to be done before we can estimate a completion date for the entire project. Your continued patience is much appreciated!

Pool to Open Soon!
Posted on Apr 28th, 2022
Hello Neighbors,

Great News! The pool will open soon!

The contractor’s work is complete, but the plaster is still curing and it is **IMPERATIVE** that the pool NOT BE USED for at least the next 7 days. The pool area has been locked and the key-card reader has been disabled. Any use of the pool will jeopardize the HOA’s considerable investment in this project.

We will send a follow-up email when the plaster is cured, and when we have an exact date for the pool opening.

Many thanks for your patience, and we look forward to a summer with a “new” pool!

Yard Debris, Bags Left by Bins
Posted on Apr 19th, 2022
Hello Neighbors,

This is a friendly reminder that Waste Management will not ever pick up bags of garbage or yard debris left beside bins. Waste Management has no program for picking up yard debris, and homeowners will need to make their own arrangements for yard debris removal. Note that our contract with WM has never included the pickup of material outside of the bins.

San Antonio has recycling centers, and their website lists locations, hours, and costs.

If you are not able to haul the brush yourself, you will need to hire a service to do so, and many are available.

Thanks for doing your part in keeping our neighborhood clean!

Pool and Road Construction Update
Posted on Apr 18th, 2022
Hello Neighbors,

Construction work on both the roads and the pool continue! Even when workers are not visible or there might not seem to be progress, we are moving forward. Board members actively follow progress and monitor work done. Here are the latest updates:

POOL
Contractors are on track to complete the pool in the next couple of weeks, and have encountered supply chain challenges.

ROADS
The next phase of road work will be needed patches on Cypress Trail.

Next is the long process of sealcoat, a layer of material that will cover every inch of the road surface, sealing and preserving it for years as well as making the surface look new. Before the sealcoat process begins, we will have further announcements as it requires the roads to be clear and the road surface to be dry.

We appreciate your patience as we move into the final phases of both projects!

March, April Road Work Update
Posted on Mar 17th, 2022
Hello Neighbors,

Road work continues! Sidewalk repair work should be completed next Tuesday, March 22, then we will have a short break.

Beginning the first week of April, Pavecon will do crackseal work throughout the neighborhood, and as before, roads will remain passable.

Then, the major sealcoat work begins, which involves a coating seal on all neighborhood roads. When done, the roads will look new and the sealcoat will dramatically lengthen their lifespan. We will have more updates on the details of the sealcoat process later.

As you may have noticed, there are places in the neighborhood with some construction debris. Pavecon has said that will be cleaned before the sealcoat process begins.

The crackseal and sealcoat work will take approximately 4-6 weeks, depending upon weather.

Finally, striping will complete the work!

Many thanks for your continued patience as we maintain the quality of our neighborhood!

Charities Who Pick Up Large Items
Posted on Mar 10th, 2022
Hello Neighbors,

As you know, this Saturday, March 12 we have the neighborhood garage sale, and next Monday, March 14 is bulk trash pickup day. If you have large items in good condition, like furniture, PLEASE consider scheduling a charity to pick those items up rather than putting them out for trash pickup.

You can schedule these charities to pick up large items:

Fabulous Finds, Kendall County Women’s Shelter Thrift Store: 830-331-1021
Arms of Hope, a non-profit Christian care organization that assists children and single-mother families: call 877-259-3744 or schedule online: Arms of Hope Schedule Pickup
Vet Strong, providing furniture for previously homeless veterans; cash donation required for pickup to defray costs: 210-239-8399
The Salvation Army, schedule a pickup online: Salvation Army Schedule Pickup
Goodwill, schedule a pickup online: Goodwill Schedule Pickup

Donating good condition items is always better than trashing them!

This list will be posted on the Stonewall Ranch FAQ page. If you know of other local charities that will pick up large items, please let us know so they can be added to the list.

Many thanks for your patience as we continue this major and much needed maintenance in our neighborhood!

Paving Update
Posted on Feb 23rd, 2022
Hello Neighbors,

Current weather conditions prohibit paving work for much of this week, so the work on the pool parking lot and Stonewall Bend will be delayed to next week. Pavecon, our paving company, said they may be able to do some smaller patch work Friday. They expect to be back at work on Monday.

We will pass along updates as we receive them.

BB Gun Incident
Posted on Dec 29th, 2021
Hello Neighbors,

On 12/26/2021 at about 6:45 pm, residents within San Antonio city limits on Stonewall Bend near Yaupon Trail reported hearing a loud bang, and found their front door glass window had been shot by a BB gun and broken. They also found the BB by the door confirming the cause of the damage.

Residents should note that discharging a firearm, even an air gun, is prohibited within San Antonio city limits.

Residents should also be aware of San Antonio ordinance Sec. 21-14, which prohibits furnishing an air gun to a person under age 16.
https://library.municode.com/tx/san_antonio/codes/code_of_ordinances?nodeId=PTIICO_CH21OFMIPR_ARTIINGE_S21-14AIGUPABAGUSPGUFUMI

Stonewall Ranch residents value the security and safety of the community and expect others to behave in accordance with these values and city ordinances. Shooting BB guns or any other weapon in the city limits, or giving minors the access to do so, is unacceptable and unlawful. Anyone having knowledge about this incident should report that information to SAPD.

Stonewall Ranch Security
Posted on Nov 24th, 2021
Hello Neighbors

As you are likely aware, a woman resident of Stonewall Ranch was reported missing last week and was found safe. We understand that there is continued concern about neighborhood safety given this event, and the family wishes to be clear that no criminal activity took place. They also ask for privacy during this time.

While there is much concern about the gates being open, that was in no way related to this incident. The steel to repair the gate is due to arrive this week, and the Board was told that gate repair work should begin after the Thanksgiving holiday.

Introduction of Your Current Board of Directors
Posted on Oct 12th, 2021
Hello Neighbors!

As your 2021 Stonewall Ranch Homeowner’s Association (HOA), we want to introduce ourselves as well as our priorities for this coming year. We are a team of residents that volunteered to represent our community to our HOA management company as well as to the various vendors that maintain our property. We have several areas that we will be focusing on over the next year:
  • Infrastructure maintenance
  • Improvements to our common areas
  • Long term budgetary planning
  • Safety and security
These are all caged by accountability; we will work hard to hold ourselves and our neighbors to the standard that makes this neighborhood a fantastic place to live.

If you have an idea about how to make our community a better place, we are very open to it and would welcome your to help in implementing your suggestions.

Introduction to your HOA Board Members:

Matt Muehlstein - President
I have lived in Stonewall Ranch for four years and have served on the board for three of those years. My wife and I have four elementary-aged children. I work as a project manager for a local commercial real estate firm with properties throughout San Antonio and Austin. My motivation for volunteering for the board was to ensure that the assets of the neighborhood are properly maintained.

John “Q” Everage - Vice President
My wife and I serve in the United States Air Force. I’m a cyber warfare officer with 22 years of service, and Melissa is a women’s health doctor of nursing practice with over 15 years of service. The beauty of this community led us to purchase here this year, and we are looking forward getting to serve with you all during our term.

Liam Flint - Secretary
I am 72 years old, am a Bishop in the United Church of Ireland, and serve as a Consistory Bishop on the Episcopal Free Communion. I volunteered to serve on the Board to improve communications and to encourage Covenants and Regulations be fairly enforced throughout the neighborhood, and that they are kept updated to meet our needs better. I believe in openness and transparency. I am always available to my neighbors to discuss their concerns.

Josh King - Treasurer
I have been a member of the Stonewall Ranch HOA Board for over 5 years and have more than 15 year’s experience serving on HOA Boards. My motivation to volunteering my time to the community is to insure that the Association finances and affairs are managed in an efficient manner. I have been a resident of San Antonio all my life and own and operate a small business in the community.

Max Hosmanek - Director at Large
I am a retired nurse who has lived in the neighborhood for 15 years.

Christie Zgourides - Director at Large and Communications Committee
I’ve lived in the neighborhood with my husband George for about six years. I have both academic and business backgrounds, including working as a professor for American Military University and as a practice manager for a pathology lab. My focus on the board is improving communications through routine updating of the website and regular community messages.

Vacant - Director at Large
We currently have a vacant position on the Board. Let us know if you would like to apply.
